Nicholas D. Snider (Nick) is a retired Senior Vice President of United Parcel Service (UPS) and the founder of the museum.
He is a lifetime collector with specific expertise in patriotic artifacts such as jewelry, flags, banners to name just a few. He has written two books on Patriotic Collecting, Sweetheart Jewelry and Collectibles (1995) and Antique Sweetheart Jewelry (1996) and collaborated on a third book in 2000.

Highlights, Awards and Honors:- Commissioned Officer, US Army.
- Recipient of the first UPS Corporate Community Service Award-Nationally.
- Carried the Olympic Torch in the Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games in 1996.
- Wrote two books on Patriotic Collecting that were published.
- Attended Roger Bacon High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and the Infantry School, Fort Benning, Georgia.
- Nick is also a board member of the USO Council of Georgia
- Member of the Museum Association of America.
